Still here....

If things had gone to plan, I would be in Cyprus right now, rather than sitting in EuropeCrazy HQ on a very cold night.  However, you know what they say about the best laid plans.

My beloved mum has been unwell for a little while and was admitted to hospital yesterday.  I don't really want to say any more about this right now, not wanting to tempt fate, but she has made great progress over the last 24 hours.

Anyway I'm feeling emotionally and physically exhausted by the events of the past few days so I don't really feel like blogging/tweeting right now, but I promise I'll be back soon.  Now off to watch some Eurovision clips/contests as I usually do at this time on a Saturday night :)

Sorry to hear that,I know too well how horrible and stressful hospitals are.Hope everything's OK.

Thanks :) She has pneumonia, she's now on the mend although still a few other health niggles which need sorted before she can be discharged. Anyway she is on good form, keeping the nurses amused with all her quips!

Yes indeed, hospital world is a horrible place but her care and treatment so far in the local hospital has been excellent. If all goes well, she could be home by the weekend or the beginning of next week. Hope she likes the bedroom makeover :)

I'm sure she will.I got a bedroom makeover when I was in hospital- it's great, you get all the benefit without doing any of the work, what's not to like? :D

That's cool though,I'm glad she's feeling better. From reading her take on Eurovision over the last few years,I can well imagine she's kept them amused!

Thanks :) and yes, the apple green walls got the thumbs-up!

During her week in the hospital, she did indeed keep them amused! One of the doctors described her as 'eccentric' and I totally agreed... she is definitely very unconventional and I'm not really surprised that her daughter has gone the very same way!! Anyway she's still got a way to go, but it's been great since she's been home, just chilling and relaxing and hopefully she'll be on top form by Eurovision week :))
